Maddie's Story
I have always loved dogs, but because I traveled a lot for work I never had the time for a dog. So, when I recently retired I decided to spend more time with dogs. I found a way to be with dogs while at the same time helping out my friends who work. Now, twice a week I spend a good part of the day with Maddie. Maddie is a one-of-a-kind Pug.  She loves to be the center of attention and greets everyone she meets. Her nickname is "Mayor Maddie."

At School

Maddie is a bit of a celebrity at school - at least she thinks she is!  She love the kids and the endless supply of treats that come with training and games. Her big moment was on agility day when she surprised everyone, including me, by jumping over the jump and running through the tunnel without hesitation. I don't like to brag, but she outdid the larger dogs! Just shows, you can never tell just by looking.
 

Free Time

Maddie loves an adventure whether it is in the park playing with dog friends, riding on a swing, or greeting humans. Maddie hates the rain though, so on rainy days we do errands. If there is an option to ride in the cart she takes it. I think it lets her get a better view of what's going on and people are more likely to see her and pet her.
