Massimo's Story
Massimo is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Cavaliers were originally bred to be companion dogs for royalty in England. King Charles in the 17th century adored them; they would sleep at his feet. So, in his honor, King Charles was added to the breed name. I suffer from PTSD from a past trauma which means I can get highly stressed when certain circumstances remind me of it. I wanted to get a dog that would help me stay calm, so I decided on a Cavalier because they are "love sponges."

We did a lot of research and found a breeder that we liked and trusted. Once the pups were born the breeder sent us photos each week until they were old enough for a visit and then to come home.

At School

Massimo loves to go to school and understands when I say "We're going to school."  He likes to greet everyone, and you will often see him rolled over on his back for belly rubs. He likes school so much that whenever he passes by one he wants to go in.

Free Time

Massimo likes to spend time in the park playing fetch or strolling through the neighborhood visiting the coffee shop or the dry cleaner where the owner speaks to him in Greek and gives him a treat. He also loves empty plastic water bottles that make that crunchy sound. He is very attached to his old stuffed elephant Ellie (or at least what's left of her).
