Tilly's Story
My wife and I are in our mid-60s, and our kids are virtually grown up. We both had dogs growing up but with our own family we had cats. We started thinking about getting a dog, but I was hesitant. I knew it would be a lot of work, and I would have to walk a dog day and night, no matter the weather. But the indecision ended the day we visited a breeder. One weekend some friends were visiting and they had gotten their dog from a breeder close by.  They thought it would be fun to go visit the  breeder. That's the day we brought Tilly home. Once we met and she put her head on her extended front paw and let out a small sigh, I was no longer worried about the late night walks in the rain.

We saw that Tilly was very patient, affectionate and gentle, so we decided to become a therapy dog team. Before we knew it we were in school!

At School

Tilly enjoys meeting both the students and the staff at school and getting pets and treats. She seems to really enjoy the challenge and reward of the food puzzles.

Free Time

Tilly likes just about any activity from swimming in any water she can find, to playing in the snow, catching tennis balls, going to the dog run or sniffing her favorite spots on our walks.
